Rock Hound's Claim
Wedged there, waiting.
Rain washed gully, when will you break loose?
Day, now night, rain, now stillness. I will not twist and pull, but wait.
There you are, just resting, like yesterday and the day before this and the day before that.
And I wait for the rock to fall. A lesson in patience.

Guess the speed of
The clock hands, I know
The one that doesn’t move;
Empty clacking like waves in
My skull, burn it out, burn it
Out; fire intangible! Lest
It be of the mind, do
You know? Then it is tactile,
Rabid and fervently lapping
at the skin of all of us.
Like acid, like dogs;
Burning subcutaneously.
Dream is...

Hello little spider on the wall,
You might crawl into my mouth tonight
As I sleep.

Sometimes, before falling asleep at night, I imagine myself to be in a brightly lit train station on the edge of Tokyo. It’s empty but for a few tired passengers, shuffling on to the last line of the night, and I am already onboard, waiting for the final call. Soon, the train begins to move and pick up speed. The warm lights and echoes of the station are left behind and we are speeding out into...
